Emmys 2016: ‘Juego de Tronos’ hace historia y se convierte en la serie con más premios
La exitosísima adaptación televisiva de ‘Canción de hielo y fuego’ ya ha ganado 38 galardones a lo largo de las seis temporadas emitidas hasta la fecha. El anterior récord lo ostentaba ‘Frasier’, con 37.

Ya es oficial: Juego de Tronos ya es la serie de televisión con más Premios Emmy de la historia.
Tras convertirse en la semana pasada en el drama televisivo más premiado por la Academia de Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión, la exitosa adaptación de HBO de la saga de George R.R. Martin Canción de hielo y fuego apenas ha tenido que esperar una semana más no sólo para batir un nuevo récord, sino para marcar un hito en la historia de los galardones que reconocen la excelencia televisiva desde 1949.
La aclamada serie desarrollada por David Benioff y D.B. Weisss ha sido, además, la ficción en recibir un mayor número de premios en la 68 edición de los Emmy, con un total de 12 galardones -9 en las categorías creativas y 3 en las principales entregadas anoche en Los Ángeles-. Además, destaca entre sus premios el reconocimiento por segundo año consecutivo como la Mejor Serie de drama, frente a ficciones de la talla de The Americans, Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, Homeland, House of Cards y Mr. Robot.
Además del premio estrella, Juego de Tronos ha conseguido sendos Emmys a Mejor guión y Dirección en la categoría de drama por ‘The Battle of the Bastards’ (6×09). No obstante, Kit Harington y Peter Dinklage no han conseguido el premio a Mejor Actor de reparto -ha caído en manos de Ben Mendelsohn por Bloodline- y Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke y Maisie Williams tampoco han conseguido el Emmy a Mejor Actriz de reparto -la afortunada ha sido Maggie Smith por Downton Abbey-.
Con la victoria de anoche, Juego de Tronos suma un total de 38 premios Emmy a lo largo de sus seis temporadas de trayectoria, uno más que la serie que ostentaba el récord hasta la fecha: Frasier, ganadora de 37 galardones a lo largo de sus 11 temporadas.
